Research shows that over the summer children lose a little of what they learned during the school year, that 3rd grade reading competencies predict graduation success, and that children with books in their home are more likely to be good readers than those who have no books in their homes. Providing books to rising 3rd graders and to participants in the local Book Buddies program is one way we can advance the common good. Thank you for responding to this LIVE UNITED opportunity!
