Treasurer's Report

Your United Way had a successful year managing available financial resources even though the year 2006 was a difficult one economically for our community.  The board and staff continue to work hard to minimize operational costs and effectively manage cash flow. Our cash position at the end of 2006 showed a 24% improvement over year end 2005.

This improvement reflects the achievement of one of our ongoing goals, which is to improve our financial stability while targeting expenditures for maximum impact in our community.  This is the 4^th consecutive year that we have improved our year-end cash position, which is essential for the long-term health of an organization.

It is anticipated that the upcoming year will continue to present financial challenges; however, your United Way remains committed to the employment of the resources entrusted to its stewardship to achieve maximum benefit to our community.
